Submitting Your Application Documents

Before submitting your application to Sofia University, please make sure you prepare all the required documents listed below. Carefully follow the instructions to ensure your application can be processed correctly and without delays.

1. Required documents

You have to prepare and send the following Documents to apply:

  1. Learning Agreement (signed by you and your Home University only)
  2. Language Certificate
  3. Transcript of Records
    • Please submit an official Transcript of Records from your Home University that shows the courses you’ve completed, the grades you’ve received, and the ECTS credits you’ve earned so far. The transcript must be in English or officially translated into English.
  4. Copy of a valid ID or Passport
    • Please provide a clear copy of a valid passport or identity card. The document must be the same one you will travel with and indicate in your Application Form.
    • If you are not an EU citizen you will have additional steps which you will receive information about from the Incoming Team or your individual coordinator.

Important requirements:

  • Each document must be saved as a separate PDF file
  • The documents must be sent in one single email
  • Files must be electronically filled and not handwritten
  • Do not lock the PDFs for editing
  • Please name the files accordingly

File naming example:
LA_John_Smith.pdf
ID_John_Smith.pdf

⚠️ Documents sent separately in multiple emails will not be processed.

2. Application Form

After submitting the required documents correctly by email to incoming.erasmus@admin.uni-sofia.bg, the Incoming Team will send you a link to the online Application Form.

Make sure to click “submit” at the end of the form.

You must complete the Application form within the Application deadline

15 June

Summer semester
15 November

Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

Important Tips

  • Carefully check that the course codes and ECTS credits match the official course list.
  • Make sure your Learning Agreement is correctly signed before submission.
  • Keep a copy of all submitted documents for your records.
  • Always follow the instructions provided in the email from the Incoming Team.
