All Erasmus+ students at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski must demonstrate sufficient language skills to successfully follow courses during their mobility.
1. Required Language Level
Students are expected to have a minimum B1 level CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) in one of the following languages:
- English
or - Bulgarian
2. Accepted Proof of Language Proficiency
You can provide one of the following:
- Official language certificate in English or Bulgarian
- OLS (Online Linguistic Support) test results
- Language Proficiency Form, completed and signed by a lecturer
3. A Language Certificate is Not Required When
You do not need to provide a certificate if any of the following apply:
- Your bachelor or master programme is taught entirely in English
- You are studying English philology
- English is your native language
- You are studying Bulgarian philology
- Bulgarian is your native language
4. Submission Instructions
- The certificate or proof in PDF must be included with your application documents for the Erasmus+ mobility.
