Dear Erasmus Student,
Thank you for choosing Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski for your Erasmus mobility. Sofia University is glad to welcome you during the 2021/2022 academic year.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, we underline that Sofia University will take a decision on the form of teaching (physical/distance), based on the national regulations as instructed by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and Science. This means that although nominated students will have to submit their applications for Erasmus mobility within the deadlines of 15 June or 15 November, 2021 (depending on the semester), we will not be able to confirm the form of teaching until such a decision is taken, probably not before the middle of September.
We recommend that students nominated to study at Sofia University for the next academic year check regularly the updated information on our website, as well as their email. We advise students NOT to make any mobility-related expenses yet (airline tickets, accommodation, etc.). You can also inform yourself regarding the current measures and restrictions from the embassy of your country in Bulgaria, from your Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from the website https://reopen.europa.eu/bg/.
Please be aware that in order to apply for an Erasmus mobility at Sofia University, you have to be nominated by your Home University. That is why we recommend you to contact the responsible person at your Home University from International Relations/Erasmus Office and to check details regarding your participation in the Erasmus+ Programme.
